Melissa Lucas, PhD

Postdoctoral Associate in the Child Study Center

Melissa Lucas, Ph.D., is an applied developmental and educational psychologist, currently working as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. Effective July 1, 2023, she will transition to the Education Collaboratory at Yale within the Child Study Center. Dr. Lucas is particularly passionate about creating equitable educational environments that ensure the well-being of educators and culturally and linguistically minoritzed students. For Project Flourish, this involves using a critical and assets-based lens for guiding both qualitative and quantitative data analysis efforts, while also collaborating with and supporting SEL Specialists across schools.
