Research Scientist, Child Study Center; Director of Implementation Science, Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence

Jessica Hoffmann, Ph.D., is a research scientist at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence where she currently serves as Director of Implementation Science. Jessica received her B.A. in psychology and sociology from Brandeis University, and her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in clinical psychology from Case Western Reserve University. Jessica specializes in working within school settings to develop approaches and programming that translate the science of emotional intelligence into practical applications. For Project Flourish, this involves shepherding the development of sustainable SEL assessment tools that allow schools to make data-driven decisions around SEL implementation. She is particularly passionate about helping schools build positive school climates that ensure educators’ well-being and spaces in which all students can learn and perform at their best. She is co-editor of two Cambridge handbooks, Lifespan Development of Creativity and Creativity and Emotions.
