Christina Cipriano, PhD

Associate Professor, Child Study Center; Director, Education Collaboratory at Yale

Christina Cipriano is an Associate Professor at the Yale Child Study and Director of the Education Collaboratory at Yale. Chris is a first-generation high school graduate, Yale Public Voices Fellow, and Jack Kent Cooke Scholar, and received her Ph.D. from Boston College, her Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and undergraduate degree from Hofstra University. Chris is a national expert in social and emotional learning (SEL), has published more than 75 peer reviewed papers, reports, and commentaries, and leads the development and validation of novel SEL assessments, foundational SEL review studies, and SEL evaluation and efficacy trials in the service of marginalized students and educators. Chris is the Principal Investigator of Project Flourish, and leads the collaborative team’s learning agenda and community-based research partnerships. At the core of her work is the belief that the future of equitable and inclusive education can be realized through collaborative research partnerships and innovative research practices that advance the science and practice of social and emotional learning.
